Information on Registration

Please read the information below first.

sign-in:

  • on first access to the “Registration Website” you will have to identify yourself by your email, and sign-up with a password. You will be on your own "My Profile" page which will allow you to update as you determine.
  • once signed-in, you can re-enter the “Registration Website” at any time by logging in with your email and your password

registration:

  • once signed-in, you have to enter some information on your profile (section “My Profile”). This includes

    • your affiliation
    • the information that determines your conference fee

      • regular participant
      • student
      • other (Review/Invited Speaker, SOC-member, LOC-member)

    • your intent to attend the reception on Sunday evening (free of charge), the conference dinner and the excursion (both with extra charges), your interest in the post-conference tour to ALMA (extra charge)
    • your food preference, the number of accompanying persons, your need for child care

once completed, this leads you to the payment page:

  • here you can add the different items (conference fee, dinner, excursion, ….) to your shopping basket
  • you have to select payment by PAYPAL, national Chilean or international Bank Transfer.

    • Participants paying by Bank Transfer have to make sure that the bank fees are charged to their home account, not to the conference!
    • Also for payment by international Bank Transfer, decide if you want to pay in EURO or USD and select the according option on the payment page.
    • Participants paying by Bank Transfer from Chile should use the CLP prices given on the ContactoChile payment page.

  • you can later return to the payment page, to pay for additional items (dinner, excursion, …)
  • an invoice on the amounts paid will be provided during the conference at the conference desk.

cancellation and refund policies:

  • you can cancel your registration free of charge (but with a 10% transaction fee applied, sorry!) until May 31st, 2020. After that date, we can only refund 50% (again, with a 10% transaction fee). After August 29th, 2020, no refund will be possible in case of a cancellation.
  • cancellation with full refund will be possible for registered participants, where the SOC selected neither a submitted talk abstract nor a submitted poster abstract.
  • all refunds will be made 3 months after the Conference has ended.
  • all cancellations have to be done by email to: "symposium2020[at]contactochilecom[dot]cl"
